Auction Find & Critters...

Hi Bloggerettes!  I promised you that I would show you what I found at auction. Forgot the before photo, because I'm always in a hurry, but you can imagine what it looked like.....ugly!
Here it is....But first it had to be inspected by Inspector No.1...
Once Inspector No.1 gave her stamp of approval
I painted it a feather green, which looks more white than anything.  Then used mocha glaze to add a little interest.  I then polished it with minwax finishing wax.

I love this wooden tray found at a little nearby shop, plus the cute turtle.  I think it makes a nice little centerpiece for the kitchen table.
Um, is there a critter theme starting here?

These cute prints on simulated barn board jumped right into my cart
at Home Goods.  I just love the sheep....

And the cow...

I also wanted to show you Gloria's chair.  I saw it in her booth
and bought it right away.  She used an image from the Graphics Fairy.  I love the way the skirt falls to the floor.  Very cute and perfect for the corner in my family room...

Well, that's about all I have for now.
I want to thank all my new followers and let you know that I really appreciate you!

Everyone have a fun weekend and find something wonderful!

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Wow, Sissie, such eye candy this morning! I'm enjoying my second cup of coffee and loving Gloria's chair slip, as well as your telephone table(?). What a great shape to that. I've seen a lot of those with just straight lines and very plain. I thought it looked like an Heirloom White type color, does it look like it has a little green in it in person?

Inspector Number 1 now owns a piece of my heart.

Love all the finds, Sissie. Gloria's chair seat cover almost makes me want to sew....almost!

Sissie- I love that old phone seat that you painted. It looks great now. My daughter has one that belonged to her great grandmother. And I LOVE that toile on the seat cushion- I have some of that same fabric stashed away.

I don't think I ever commented on the pillows in your header but I love those too. Hope you have a wonderful weekend-I'll be working and blog skipping when I can sneak a few minutes-xo Diana

I just adore the gossip bench, especially how you primped it up, so adorable and the skirt on the other chair just makes me sigh!
Great finds Sissie!

Love what you did with the telephone table and the fabric on the seat = perfect! Glad too that you showed us a picture of the chair with the long skirt. I ended up with 3 plain, country, ladder back chairs that I just might have to put long skirts on. I'm thinking that might be just the thing to make them not so plain and ordinary.

ooo, a gossip bench stood in our hallway, with the only phone we had, all the time I was growing up. What happened to it, I wonder..
This one...I WANT SOOO BAD. I just love it. I will start looking and just maybe I'll find one.
I would LOVE to find one for my daughter, too. She'd love it.
Love that chair cushion, too. Wish I knew how to do all that...*sigh
I finished my little stool I covered with a coffee sack but...it's nothing to write home about. :(

Great finds, Sissie! My parents had a gossip bench in their home and I spent many hours as a teenager talking on the phone while sitting in it. The tray and turtle are adorable and I love your new signs. What a beautiful seat over on the chair.
Hugs,
Sherry

You are too funny Sissie, I hope you sell more than you buy from your fellow vendors! Or at least break even! I love that grain image too, I just used it on some aprons for my space.
I may have to make a trip to Homegoods, those are awesome! Your little table makeover turned out just beautiful too, it does show white in the photos. Have a happy week!

How is it that you manage to buy, buy, buy and yet your home doesn't appear to have any clutter?

Hey Sissie,

Thank you soooo much for buying my chair! I'm so flattered that you liked it! As you know I don't have a blog but I sure do enjoy your blog as well as many others. Thanks to all of you for your inspiration. I'm at work right now trying to figure out how to leave this comment. I hope you get this Sissie. Thank you again. Maybe someday I can leave my day job and 2 hour commute and join the blogging world.
