A sweet little lamp.....

I picked up an ugly little lamp.  It was painted blue, green, yellow and orange......ughhhhhh!  In fact, it was so ugly that I didn't dare take a before photo of it.....would have scared y'all too death!
But, it had little cherubs on it and the shape was wonderful.  So, out comes the heirloom white spray can.....

The shade is a Walmart number....can you believe it.  It's the prettiest blue/gray color.....

Don't you love sweet little crowns completing a pretty vingette....
The little paper crown was created by Rosemary at Roses Petite Maison.

Okay, that's it.
Get out there this week and make it a good one.  Create, sew, write, photograph, paint, cook, repurpose or find something wonderful and share it with us.

~~hugs~~

Sissie~you look skinny in your photo!! Makes me want to get motivated to eat right~but I think I might wait a few more weeks!! Love the lamp~it is really a nice one, isn't it? You never know where you might find nice things like that shade~Walmart, Lowes...the dump!

Cute do over. I can't imagine that lamp being all those colors.

That lamp is beautiful, Sissie! I can't even imagine it all those colors. Part of me would have liked to see that, but part of me is glad you didn't show it as it really looks like it was meant to be Heirloom White. Love the shade, too. I was at Lowe's earlier today and I always forget what a great selection they have of lamps and shades ~ until they hit me as soon as I walk in! I need to make sure I get back there sometime soon; I saw a nice one for the master bedroom to take the place of a temporary lamp I had just inside the door.

Sissie-Your lamp is very nice and I like the shade! Who makes Heirloom white spray paint? I bought a couple of things at an auction this weekend and don't want to spray them a stark white, and I think your heirloom might be just the ticket! Thanks for your help.

When i look at that lamp now, it's hard to believe it was ever ugly. It's gorgeous, and so ornate!
I put my fabulous pillow shams on my bed pillows today, and put some faded pink sheets on the bed, and you should see how incredible they look, i LOVE them! And, now i'm thinking, duh... why didn't i take a picture!

Your lamp is beautiful, Sissie! It reminds me of a pair of lamps my Mom had for years that had cherubs on them. She saw them in a furniture store and fell in love with them. My Dad surprised her with them for Christmas! So, thank you for bringing back that happy memory!

Sissie, this lamp is so stunning, I don't think I believe that it was really ugly to begin with! And, a Walmart shade to boot--it looks like a million($), now.

Such a beautiful lamp, dearest Sissie, I love all the flowers and cherups-and your crowns are adorable. I try to collect crowns also, not that easy to find old ones, but then I am sometimes lucky with new wonderful ones.
Hugs and love,
Dorthe
