What I got at The Depot....

I am having the worst time trying to get back into blogging.  Maybe it's the beautiful weather or all that's going on in my life right now....it's a difficult balance at time, but I'm workin on it.

I promised to show you what I bought while shopping at The Depot, so here goes....

I could not resist this burlap sack.  It made the cutest pillow.  I just inserted an inexpensive pillow form and secured the end with ribbons...

Borrowed this photo from Dianne at Miss Minnie's.  Thank you Dianne.

Here's a shot of my booth, taken with my iPhone, so it's not so great.
I bought the huge window shelf in the background,
the lavender bundles, which sold the day I took them in.
Also, the locker basket, and the double compartment wooden box from a mill.

Here's a closeup of the box.  It's really shabbilicious.
See the metal embellishments on the front.  This box must have been used to store them.

This was just a very plain wooden mirror.  My sister and I decided to paint them with chalk paint, add burlap ribbon bows and
a blingy button.  I love it!

These frames were just ordinary plain wood, so I gave them some chalk paint in some pretty blue and green colors.

I bought this sweet kitty print for myself.  The frame was gold so I gave it some soft white paint and shabbied it up.
Just look at these sweet kitties...

There is a lot more to show you, but you'll have to wait.
I'm going to give myself a little weekend break and maybe head to the beach for some chilllaxin.
Maybe then I'll return in a better blogging mood.

So don't be "out-of-it" like me.  Get out there and create, make, sew, photograph, write, junk, yard sail, bake, cook and find something wonderful and share it with us.

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Hi Sissie--Sorry you are feeling "out of it" as far as blogging goes..you"ll get back in the blogging mood I'm sure. Love that burlap bow with the blingy button. That button is one of my favorites. I always use a JoAnns coupon to get those anytime I am going by JoAnns! Also love your new kitty print. We are get a "real" cat (as my husband calls it) as soon as it is old enough to be away from its Mom. It will be so fun to have a kitten again since our 2 cats are so old..and one of them is a persian which makes him extra lazy. Anyway--I have been attracted to cat graphics lately because of our upcoming family member.

Have a great time at the beach! that sounds great. I need to plan some beach time:) --Sandy

Remember the Spring Fever that would hit when you were in school, Sissie? I bet it's something like that. Definitely, go to the beach and get refreshed. Love the pillow and I love the frame you did with the burlap bow and bling.

Sissy, you can make anything pretty, even a simple little frame with your touch turns into something special. I really like your faded burlap pillow cover... it's a good one, and the kitty print is precious. Aren't you lucky to be so close to the beach that you can just hop on over there and chill!

I think everybody has those times...when we FEEL like we should do SOMETHING...but that something just isn't calling our name. Happens to me too...usually with sewing! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Sissie. It is fun to see your booth and I can't wait to see more-xo Diana

Your booth is just dreamy! And I love your newest pillow. I agree, it's the weather. When it's gorgeous out, who wants to sit in front of a computer all day????

Maybe it's the summer-like weather.
I want to be outside working in the gardens, and not inside sitting in front of the computer as much.
After working all day, I like going outside to enjoy the fresh air.
It's okay to take a blogging break, Sissie. We'll all be here when you get back.
Enjoy some sunshine, girl!
Luv ya.
