Looking past the drywall dust...

Hi Sweeties!  Somewhere among all the drywall dust lurks a budding beautiful home. Little by little we are making changes and everyday things look a little bit brighter here at the "money pitt!"

We painted the kitchen walls, replaced the ugly gold brass light fixtures and the best part of all.....replaced the counter tops with granite!!

Here's a peek at my new granite...

I showed you pictures of the new light fixtures.  I've finally added all the crystals....I love it!!
We are currently sleeping in the guest bedroom while the master bath is being remodeled.  Right now it looks like demolition derby...a real mess.  I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end.  I sure hope so.
In the meantime get out there and create, sew, write, photograph, craft, cook, bake and find something wonderful and share it with all of us.

I'm joining the fun at Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays!!!

Hi Sissie,
I think it's fun to move into a new home. Picking new everything to make it your own. I've done it three times. I've moved fifteen times but only three were brand new.
Sounds like yours is going to be gorgeous when you're finished, Sissie. Love the crystals and the granite. Yup, love the white cabinets too! Thanks for the peek.

Blessings,
Sandi

Beautiful granite, Sissie! I love the color of it with your white cabinetry. One room at a time ~ that's how to do it. We finally got the new carpet put in for the two bedrooms this past Friday. I am so glad we are done with flooring. I was getting tired of moving stuff from room to room and walking around everything! Our first year flew by here. We have painting on the list for next year.

We just got our Granite countertops in on Friday. First time to have Granite
Woah granite cost thousands! But we figured it was an investment.

We got light tan with cream and a speck of blue

In 41 years of marriage first time we ever got to buy counter tops!

Hi Sissie, boy I have just been admiring your kitchen pictures and the crystals. I love all of it. So very pretty. You did such a good job with all of it. We redid our kitchen and I have to say...I lost my zeal midway through it. I was so tired of the mess and things being disorganized every day...for months. But it is done and I"m so happy now with the finished look. Your home is always lovely. I've enjoyed reading through your posts...so much to enjoy!
Blessings,
Debbie
