Staying focused

First of all I would like to remember those in the path of Sandy.  I hope that you and your families are safe from harm.

Progress on the new house is still a bit blurry but I can see a few things coming into focus.

This small bedroom has pretty wallpaper left by the previous owner.  I decided to try and work with it.  I found this antique mirror at the flea market and gave it some ASCP.

I managed to unpack my collection of wedding gowns and prom dresses and give them a little corner....

Gabby has never seen snow before but I have a feeling she wasn't interested in going outside to see what it was all about...
Once the master bath remodel is finished and the new carpeting is installed throughout the house maybe things will be more in focus
and I can start the fun part of decorating.  Stay tuned I hope to show you more soon.

                                     ~~hugs~~

The paper does look pretty, Sissie, and the colors something that you could work with. I'd try and work with it, too, since I hate taking down wallpaper. Great little mirror. I read you got snow your way. We've had rain, although the northern part of Ohio got snow. Can't wait to see more!

Nothing so exciting as moving. We are about to make a move, too, but it will take FOR.EVER. because we've been in this house 40 yrs...and both of us are SUCH collectors. Oh, dear.....
Have a good Halloween with lots of Trick or Treaters...:)

That is a pretty paper, Sissie. Snow in October, yuck! I'm sure your fur babies don't know what to make of it.
I was wondering how you fared through the storm and I guess you are fine, which is wonderful!
Love those white frocks! Enjoy the rest of your week.

Blessings,
Sandi

I like the wallpaper, Sissie. It's very soft and warm looking and the mirror looks really pretty. Wallpaper gets a bad wrap because so much of it is just terrible or you move into a new home and it's just not your style. I could live with this.

XO,
Jane

That is some pretty wallpaper! I love the mirror and I'm so glad to hear things are coming together. What ever happened to the cats the previous owners left behind?

Love the room with the wallpaper. You worked with it very well. It looks absolutely lovely.
Sorry you have snow already. We had a tad bit, but it melted quickly. Is yours from the hurricane?
