Working on a new room....

Workin on it!  I'm starting with the basics...nothing can make a girl smile more than a brand new sofa.  This one is upholstered in a creamy/oatmeal linen fabric and the cushions are down filled for extra softness and comfort.  The pillows that came with it are just perfect for a soft off white decorating theme.

So here's the beginning of the room.  New sofa, little thrifted side table that I painted and a mercury glass lamp from Home Goods...

I haven't shopped for new upholstered furniture for several years and was surprised at the prices....ouch!!!  Quality is a must but you are definitely going to pay to get it.

Still working on it....I added some of my favorite ornate picture frames.....

I know, I know....it's looking all very neutral....

But remember....I'm still working on it!

Your new sofa looks very comfy, Sissie! Upholstered furniture is usually one thing I have to buy in person. I need that "sit" factor to test to make sure it is actually comfortable. I've heard from a lot of people who buy online that it looks comfortable, but when they got it and sat in it, it wasn't.

Oh I love your new sofa...
I hear that down cushions are a great investment. Is the fabric a nylon or a synthetic!! I know that we are in the market for a new sofa and I am definitely moving towards fabric as well
The old saying...you get what you pay for!!

No, not too neutral at all! If I didn't have kids and dogs I would have all neutral furniture. You can add so many different colors to change things up or just do white on white like you did. The couch is gorgeous. We bought s couch, love seat and chair for the family room last year and I nearly had a stroke over the prices. But if you want it to last, it's best not to skimp. I love your wall arrangement, too...very pretty.

Thanks for your sweet compliment today. I really don't think I take good pictures so I rarely post them. You made my day! ;-D

XO,
Jane
