Breathing new life...

Hello Blogger buds!!!
I found this dry sink in a pretty sad state.  It was a stained brown wood with zero personality so I decided to rescue it!
I'm sure you know that feeling.  You see an old piece of furniture and think to yourself....."I can breathe new life into this sweet thing...a little paint, a little sanding and then some staging and oh, yeah baby it's blog worthy!"

Well, maybe not all that, but it's kinda cute...
It would make a great potting stand or a coffee bar...

She's still a little rough around the edges but still very sweet in a rustic, shabby farmhouse kinda way...

Okay, time for me to go snooping around your blogs and see what you've rescued lately.

I'm joining Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays at Coastal Charm!

Shabby Farmhouse heaven! Love the staging too with the cloche and the pretty greens. I want to do a cloche just like that on a cake stand with a sweet fresh fern under it... You give me too many ideas!

I absolutely love it! Lucky you! When we bought the lakehouse, the sellers sold us much of their furniture. They had an old dry sink and I asked them to throw that in. The woman was appalled, it had been in her family for a zillion years! lol! I'm so bold!

Jane

Sissie,

She's a beauty! I'm glad you rescued her. You staged her perfectly. Thanks for your visit on my home tour post. To answer your question, "no" I clean it all myself. A whole lot slower than I used to do. Hubby does all the yard, so I do the house. We have both worked on the basement the last two days, and are BEAT!! (still not through) Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous week. Again, I love your dry sink.

What a great find, Sissie! I like your vignette on it too. I found a stereo stand a number of years ago and did a make-over on it. It was dark brown and looks like a dry sink too. I brought it home and shabbied it up and it looks really nice. I've gotten lots of compliments on it.
I always enjoy stopping by to see what you've been up to.

Blessings,
Sandi
