A Little Bit of Christmas Decorating...

I've done very little Christmas decorating but I'll show you what I've done.  After looking at all the fabulous Christmas Open House home tours I think mine is looking a little less than grand.  Honestly, how do they do it???

Well anyway, I found this little cabinet at Goodwill for $15.  After some American Chalk Paint, some new glass knobs and a good waxing....it turned out pretty cute.

Of course the stuff sitting on it is much more interesting.
This is just a small collection of my brown transferware.  I found this mismatched lot from a dealer and snagged it up before she could say "sold!"

This Lenox Tea Cup Merry-Go-Round is a gift from Mr. Sissie.  It's been around for about fifteen years now.

I've kept my Christmas decor to a minimum this year.  This vingette is on the kitchen island using just some ironstone, pine from the yard, a little pine tree and some candy canes.

This is my most treasured Christmas decoration.  It was the tree topper that was placed on our tree when I was a little girl.  Let's just say it's old and leave it at that!

I hope that each and everyone of you are enjoying this wonderful Christmas Season.  I want to thank you for visiting me here at Sissie's Shabby Cottage.  Thank you for your friendship, your sweet comments and your encouragement.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas and may all your dreams and wishes come true.

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Merry Christmas to you. I know well the feelings that go with your sweet tree topper. Every year a little angel comes out of my decor that was on my Granny's tree. It's all those little treasures that make Christmas time so wonderful.

I love that little cabinet you found--really cute :) I don't blame you for not decorating too much this year--you need to have a break after moving! I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas !

Your little cabinet is really cute and I love the glass knobs. The little teacup merry-go-round is adorable, and what a lovely gift from your hubby. The tree topper is precious! Thanks for sharing, Sissie, and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Oh my gosh, just look at that tree topper! It's wonderful! No wonder you love it so... made me smile talking about how old it is... I have stuff that i pull out every once and a while and i'll realize i've had it since i was in my 20's and then realize it's practically an antique!!! That's freaky!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas in your beautiful new home...
