Welcome to my home!

Hey Y'all!  Today I'd like to welcome you into my home.  So come on in to the big ole foyer or as my Mom used to say... the front door where only company gets to enter!
Kick your shoes off if you want too. And go ahead and hang your hat...on my new thrift store hall tree that I found today...

This house has a big entryway and it has been and still is a decorating challenge.
Straight ahead on the left is the dining room and going further leads you right into the great room.
Looking back from the great room you can see the entry into the guest bedrooms and laundry...
This is the dining room.  I've shown it to you before but now you can see how it all flows as you enter.  This is my favorite room.

I stopped in Marshall's today and could not resist these yellow pillows.  I think I might be craving some color and this is going really bold for Miss Monotone Me!

If you are wondering why I posted that picture of myself it's because I've just lost 45 pounds!!!  I've been keeping it a secret so I wouldn't sabotage myself.  I wanted to make sure that I could stick with it before bragging about my weight loss.
It's not been easy and I'm still working on reaching my goal.  My secret weapon was Nutrisystem.  I think the program helped to keep me on track and eating healthy, while learning about portion control and choosing the right foods.  I am taking what I've learned and continuing on my journey.  It has taken me six months to lose it and I've never felt better.

So that's it for today.  I'm so glad that you came by to see me.  I hope to show you more of my home soon.  And maybe a little less of me.

                                       ~~hugs~~
                                         Sissie

I love your large foyer, Sissie! It is like three times the size of my tiny one here. I wish I had a little bit more room. You look great! Congratulations and good for you on your weight loss. I'm still trying to drop the 8 pounds that is hanging on me since we moved here! Of course, it is the hips, butt and stomach area. I know it is from lack of moving around and I'm hoping now that I'm working again {part time anyway} it will help it go away.

CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss, Sissie. That is no easy feat and you have done a marvelous job. Plus you didn't take it off overnight so you have a good chance of keeping it off now. Good for you. I fight my weight all the time so I know what you are going through!

Your hall is lovely and I just LOVE your dining room. I think that would be MY favorite room, too.

How funny- I just dug some yellow things out this week for my new little outdoor space. The color made me feel happy when I found the pillow and fabrics! xo Diana

Sissie,
Your home gorgeous and so are you!! Congrats to you!!
I lost 55 pounds so far ( it took a year and a half) and want to lose another 10 more and then maintain.
I feel better as i am sure you do too and for me, when I have my knee replacement surgery, I will be much better off and it has allowed me to prolong the surgery for an estimated 5 years my Ortho surgeon says....

More more more! I want to see it all! Your home is gorgeous! and you look great! I think my very favorite thing is your dining room chairs. Where in the world did you find them, they are so charming and look comfy too. I see why you grabbed those pillows with yellow, they are so happy. Sometimes yellow gets me too, and i can't resist it, even though i'm a pink lover at heart. I'm looking forward to the rest of the tour!

Love your home! I really admire the white so many people are decorating with but I live in the Rocky Mountains and there is this cold white stuff out my windows 7-8 months a year.....might make for toooooo much of a good thing!

Sissie, you are just beautiful (and always have been!)
I LOVE your home, the monochromatic look is exactly my style - that way you can add any color when you're ready! I'm loving the yellow too!
I'm ready for DR furniture and I want a round table like yours. The wicker chairs you have are perfect too - that's the look I'm going for!
Thanks so much for opening your home!

I have to tell you...I'm going backwards on your posts. I'm sure I've landed here somewhere in time. I'm loving your house! Love all the mirrors and brightness. You said your entry is a challenge but it looks absolutely perfect to me. The large buffet with the collection of mirrors is gorgeous.
