A visit to my sisters for a family reunion...

Let's take a visit to my sister's house.  This past week all six of the brothers and sisters gathered at my youngest sister's house for our first annual family reunion.  While there I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of her lovely home.

I gotta tell y'all....the girl has got a way with putting things in all the right places.

The rosettes on the lampshades are magnetic.  She also has a huge collection of brown ironstone.

Just look  how lovely.  This corner of the room is the focal point with a faux mantel and gorgeous Venetian mirror.

Don't you just love this pretty vignette featuring more ironstone,
bell jars and a lovely lampshade from Pottery Barn.

She found this old radio cabinet at an antique shop in Greensboro, NC.  She painted it with chalk paint and added lots of pretties.

Here's me getting a big smooch from my two beautiful sisters.

Okay, that's it.  No excuses for not blogging as often.
Remember to get out there this week and create, make, sew, photograph, write, craft, paint and find something wonderful and share with all of us!!!

~~hugs~~
Sissie

Hi Sissie! It's wonderful that you have started a family reunion with your siblings. It can be a challenge to get together at the same time! Your sister has a gorgeous place. Love what she did with the radio case. Lovely details. Nice how you enjoy similar tastes! So nice to have a visit from you!

How beautiful!! I love your sister's style - is she the one who lives here in WV? Both of you have great style - oh my, I love that brown transferware with the whites of her furniture - rustic and refined! Does she stock any of it in Nitro? Maybe I could trade a thing or two with her (I collect brown transferware), lol. Tell her we're (Panoply) having a 30% off sale right now, it won't last long (it's been a week already).
Happy to hear from you on your blog again - don't make yourself so scarce!

How lovely that you could all get together and make it a yearly thing! Your sis has a beautiful home and I love her style!

I am having all my kids home for three weeks beginning next week. It too will be a reunion and I'm so excited! It will be my little granddaughter's first visit to the Island.

Enjoy your time together.

Hugs,
Sandi

I love it... especially that radio cabinet. I had to look twice to figure out what that was. GENIUS... right along with the magnetic flowers. What a great idea. At first glance I thought it say magical... and by golly, it IS!

You must’ve felt great after having a reunion with your sisters. It’s been a long time since you saw each other, right? Anyway, their house is lovely! The interior has a touch of Victorian in it, which never fails to make a home look classic and inviting. Cheers!
