When I first saw these nesting tables on Shabbyfufu I knew I had to have them... (don't you just love Janet's style!)
A few weeks ago I found a set of two in a friend's booth and grabbed them up...
Well the bad part is that I can't find anywhere in my home to put them. I've tried them everywhere and they just don't work!
I think they are on the way to my booth. Just proves that just because we love how something looks in someone else's décor doesn't mean it's going to work in ours. Darn it!
Have you ever bought something you've seen and loved on another blog or magazine just to realize that it doesn't work in your home....please tell me I'm not the only one!

Absolutely! You are not the only one, Sissie. It's too bad they don't work in your home, but you gave them a try. Thank goodness there's Pinterest - we can enjoy all those looks that we find so pretty but that won't fit so well into our own homes! : )
Sissie,
I have totally done this. At least you have a shop to bring them to.
Back when decorating shows started popping up, I decided to make the leap and go bold with my living room. I bought a sectional sofa in a weird mustard color, and not only was it ugly, it was HUGE. And then matched it with a purple/eggplant colored chair. And believe it or not, I matched the colors with paint on alternating walls. Am I certifiably crazy??? I switched out the furniture with my family room and that didn't help at all. I finally sold it. I gathered the family and we painted the walls. I had to stay with the family room furniture for awhile and then talked hubby into giving me another design chance! lol! Believe me, I stick with neutrals and my gut feelings now!

I know what you mean--some things just don't work or there is no perfect place to put them. Pretty though!
Yep happens a lot to me. I love something and bring it home and then say "ok where can I put this?" Usually though if I love it enough I will make it work somewhere. It is too bad you cannot make those tables work they are awesome. I know if you sell them someone will re love them and give them a good home :)!!!!!!

Oh I have done that more than once. I am sure you will find a great buyer for them, they are so pretty.
Oh Sissie, you are not the only one! I love others style and think I want that in my home, but then it doesn't work. My home is just an eclectic mix of stuff and really not industrial or shabby chic even if I do love those styles. It's worth trying though isn't it.

Hello Sissie
I sure wish I was closer to your shop... those tables are beauties! They won't last long I am sure...
Oh how sad they are really beautiful, but I totally understand what ya mean....lol....

It's just not fair when that happens! If you like the table style, have you thought about painting them white maybe with some gray or silver accents instead of the gold? Unless you can't bear to paint them and would prefer to sell them rather than change their look!~Sares
That has happened to me more than once over the years,Sissie. It's always a disappointment when that happens. They are lovely though and I am sure they will sell quickly. xo Diana
Sissie, I have bought several pieces I loved in the store but once home they just didn't fit. At least you have a place to sell them.

Sherry
No Sissie, you are not alone. I am sure that we have all done this at least once. Now, those are some beautiful tables.
Blessings,
Linda
The tables really are wonderful, Sissie. It's a pity you can't use them. But we have all done that and then wondered what do I do now? I know someone will waltz into your shop and whisk them away to their home.
Blessings,
Sandi
Like a million times! In fact right now i have this darling little credenza sitting in my bedroom ... and it doesn't work ANYWHERE in my house!!!

All the time! Sorry the tables didn't work for you, Sissie. They are gorgeous! I'm sure they will be scooped up right away in your booth.
Have a nice afternoon.
