Hello Y'all! A big thank you for supporting my Jeanne d'Arc Living line of clothing. I have been overwhelmed by your response and I truly, truly appreciate you!!!!
Now, off to more great stuff. Do you ever come across a blogger that speaks to your heart??? Well, of course you do. There are many of them out there that often become close friends even though you've never met face to face. Among my many favorite bloggers is Donna, the writer of Distressed Donna Down Home. Donna describes herself as " A self-proclaimed rust goddess who shares treasured vintage finds and how to transform them with different distressing techniques."
Believe me this Southern gal stops at nothing to get her vintage treasures. She'll forge onward through the heat, rain and cold. She will ride the country roads and ridges and when she spies a would be treasure, believe me, she will snatch it up in a heart beat and give it a redo!
She will also show you step-by-step on her blog how to transform finds into beautiful things. Like this yummy hinged gate painted in the prettiest aqua. Believe me the girl will haul anything and just when she thinks she can't squeeze another thing in the trunk, she hits the breaks for another find!
How does she find all this great stuff????? If you ask her she will gladly tell you where she found them. She is always sharing her sources and encourages us to see beyond the rust, dust and tatter.

Another thing you will love about Donna is that she names all of her finds. She even names her paintbrushes!
Meet Mr. Scrumbles...
Her closet of treasures is "Horror Monster"
Although everything that comes out of that closet turns into something pretty. Look at this wooden box. (Swoon)
From this....
To this....
Her pooch "Willie"
Another great painted project that she will show you how to achieve step-by-step.
Her Kitty...
So if you see Donna on the road with her "Old Coffin Carrier"
filled to the hilt, just give her a shout.
Chances are she'll invite you over for some sweet tea and teach you a junkin trick or two!!!
Shame on me but Donna is wearing Jeanne d'Arc clothing that she ordered from my shop.
She looks great in it too. She will also tell you that these clothes are addicting and her wardrobe is filling up. Thank you Donna!
So, if you want to learn more from this self proclaimed "junkin goddess" then head over to her blog....Distressed Donna Down Home.
And, if you want to own some of her great stuff then be sure and check out her Etsy Shop.
She also has a shop space in her home town.
Happy Huntin Donna. Can't wait to see what you have for us next!
~~hugs~~

Oh, Sissie, this is such a wonderful surprise! Thank you so much. I am wondering just who this person may be. Of course I would invite over some readers - to work at some sanding or some painting. I need to send you a new pic of me in my "tough" girl pantaloons. I have enjoyed becoming friends with you. Willie and Azalee appreciate the shout out. Oh, and the Old Coffin Carrier too.
I used to be Donna's across the aisle "neighbor" at the antique mall...she is so great! And, you are right...she has no problem sharing her favorite junking locations and giving you a few how-to's! She is a sweetheart..and so talented!! I love the way her mind works, too..I like to think we are kindred spirits when it comes to junk! Miss you, Donna!
