Life's been a little hectic here on the North Carolina and South Carolina coasts and inlands. The rains came and wouldn't stop thus, causing flooding and more flooding. It rained non stop for three days. We were one of the fortunate ones. We live on a pond and the water surrounded our home. We were within inches of the water coming inside right before it stopped. Whew! Scary!!
However, today the sun is shining and the messes are being cleaned up. Our hearts go out to those who lost their homes or loved ones.
Here is the back of the house where the pond was overflowing....

Okay, on to brighter and happier things...
I'm not much on bright Fall colors, but I love it in other's homes. For some reason it never works for neutral me.
So here's my version of Fall decor:
As always, I'm excited to show you the newest Jeanne d'Arc Vintage Boho style dress/tunic...
Layers upon layers of ruffles, tulle, pretty fabric, laces and sheerness...
This one is available in my Etsy Shop.
I also can't resist showing you this beautiful JDL Handbag...
This one's also available in my Etsy Shop.
Thanks for stopping by today. I love it when you do. Thank you all for being such great Blogging friends.
~~hugs~~
Sissie

I've been thinking about you, wondering how it was near your home. So glad you escaped the water. we need it badly, we're having an "Indian Summer". love all your pretty pieces!
So happy to hear from you and that you were left unscathed! Beautiful items in your Etsy shop!
Sissie, I'm so glad it wasn't worse than it was!! We had it too, lots of trees down around us! Beautiful clothes!
Oh my that water came close. Your sure do live in a beautiful neighborhood though. While we are dry as a bone, you are under water! Go figure. We are in 90 degree temps still! We did have two days of gentle rain and believe me it felt so amazing. I just stood in it.
Your home is so pretty in it's neutral Fall decor palette. My favorite...but you know that. And the new JDL items...swoon. I have the grey hand bag and love it so much that I may have to get this pink one. I can see that it would go with the creamy white lace scarf perfectly.
I am so thankful that you carry the JDL clothing. I so love that you do. xo Kerrie
My gosh, Sissie. That kind of flooding is so scary. It's like you are at its mercy and no where to go when it hits. I am glad you are okay-glad your house is okay, too. Praying for all those who were not so fortunate.
Your top and purse are just gorgeous!!! I can't imagine that they will be in your shop long! xo Diana
Wow, all of that water is really scary, Sissie! Glad you are ok, and the rain has hopefully ended! I'm not much for traditional fall colors either, so I really love your vignette and those silver pumpkins! Love the gorgeous pink tote bag!!
Glad the waters stopped before getting into your home. I feel so badly for all of you effected by the rains.
Have a good Friday and hopefully a dryer week end.

Close call, Sissie. I am glad the flooding stopped before it entered your home. I love the pumpkin vignette on your table. Pink and ruffled clothing is sure to boost spirits.
My dear friend, I am so glad you did not get flooded. It has been truly horrible there with so much rain. My heart is broken for so many who have lost so much. I adore your Fall decor, it is just so elegant and beautiful. So you!
hugs,
Linda
Dear Sissie,
how glad I am that the water did not get to your home,- it looks terrible, there, and we have heard of the awfull flood of water, and the poor people ,loosing lifes and homes . Happy you can still decorate beautifully, in your home,-and love the Jeanne d'Arc clothes. I have some dresses and blouses /tunics ,too :-)
Have a wonderful October, with no more water or storms, dear friend !

So glad your house was damaged, Sissie. I remember Sandy all too well and was glad Joaquin missed Long Island. Love your fall decorating!

Oh my gosh, how scary that must have been. I'm glad to hear your home wasn't damaged, looks like you just barely eked by with it being a couple of inches less.
Your home looks so lovely! Looks like you live in a beautiful area too! My brother's in North Carolina and it's gorgeous there:) I love how you get to experience Autumn in those area's! Here in FL, it's pretty much constant summer lol.
Darling Sissie I do hope you have a pair of really cute rain boots!
I love your fall decor as I am not a fan of orange. It feels peaceful.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Wow! How scary to have the water come that close to your front door! Thank goodness it stopped when it did! What a beautiful neighborhood you live in, Sissie!
Your fall decor is right up my alley. Love the mercury glass and white. I cannot wait to receive the tunic and bag now that I got a close up look! So happy that you sell JDL clothing, Sissie!! I wore the eyelet tunic on Saturday, and all the women loved it!! It's my favorite top!
Have a wonderful week!

So glad your home wasn't flooded, Sissie. We made it through ok too but our neighbors up at the western part of the Island didn't fare so well nor those in southern NB. Scary when these things happen! I love all your mercury glass. I have one silver pumpkin.
Enjoy your day.
Blessings,
Sandi
So thankful you are safe from the flooding. Your tunic and bag are dreamy. Creative Bliss...
Whoa! the water is all around you! I thought it would NEVER stop raining here. It rained for 14 days, i was ready to shoot myself. Glad you came out unscathed. Your fall decor is so pretty too... I don't do orange either, I can only go as far as the gray and white pumpkins, which i think are so adorable.
Cindy
