Loving where you land and finding your shop a "home."

I just looked at the date of my last post and realized that it has been awhile but you know how it goes.  So, no excuses.

I'm excited to show you my new shop spaces that I just opened December 1st.  Since the closing of the Marketplace I've had a tough time trying to find a "home."  I tried two different shops and just didn't fit in.  One thing I have learned after being in this business, is IF IT DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT, DON'T STAY!  Those of you who have booths or shop spaces know exactly what I'm talking about.  Anyway, I'm very happy and pleased to say that Sissie's Shabby Cottage has found a home!

Would you like to see...

Another Vendor, Patricia French Designs, shares a portion of this space with me.  She occupies the front section.

My shop space is located at The Calabash Trading Company, in Calabash, NC.  Here I carry mostly Jeanne d'Arc Living products and some shabby furniture.

This space is located at the Fancy Flea 2 marketplace in Shallotte, NC.  Here I have a mixture of shabby, french, cottage and various items.  It's a fun shop with the most amazing people that always have a smile on their faces.  Gotta love that!

So there you have it.  It's all about loving where you land and being in a shop that awakens your creativity.  I'm so glad I'm finally, "home."

Happy New Year to everyone!!!

I'm glad to hear you have found spaces that you feel comfortable in, Sissie. Love, love the clothes you have shown in these pictures. That black and white dress really caught my eye, as well as the pink one with ruffles.

I was on a bit of an unintended break myself, but these things happen. Better that than burn out!

Happy New Year!

Oh, it looks just beautiful Sissie! Everything is so soft and feminine.
You definitely cater more to the ladies, me too! It's funny when couples come through and the ladies will come into space and the man just stands outside in the aisle! I had to move to another store when mine closed last Spring and thank goodness my first and only choice worked out. It instantly was a good fit. Happy to hear you finally feel at home after shuffling around a bit. Happy New Year, Sares

Yes, I have been bounced around quite a few times in the last 17 years. Your spaces are so eye-appealing. I am sure the merchandise will sell well in the new homes.

Congratulations on opening your new shop. It looks amazing, you stock some lovely pieces. I would like to come and have a look sometime as I'm into angels and fairies. Your shop is very stylish and elegant. It has a nice relaxing look about it. Good luck with your business. I hope it does well.
