This is the time of year when cute Bunnies are everywhere! And, who can resist, especially since they go along quite well with my recent hat box obsession.
I painted these hat boxes with Faux Real mineral and chalk based paint in a chocolate brown, printed off the rabbit image onto sticky backed fabric, then brushed the image with dark wax. Love the color of this paint. It's like painting with melted fudge!
I filled the box with brown crinkled paper, added a bird's nest and then the inspiration for it all...the little rabbit tureen.
The next version was created much the same but this time I added a cute fabric bunny and a bird's nest with a little yellow chick.
One has already sold and the other is in my shop space.
This little bunny angel sits on top of some hat boxes watching over things in the guest bedroom.
You know what they say about bunnies multiplying...my guess is there will be a few more around here soon.
That's it for now. I'm off to check out the blogs and see what's new!

The bunny hat boxes are adorable - love the dark wax finish.
Sissie,
Love me some cute bunnies! I thought about you yesterday, when a new room was being painted and displayed at the shop. It's a cottage style room, with pink/white walls. I will be sharing it soon, so look out for it.
Blessings,
Linda
I love your bunnies! I keep a few of mine of year round but this time of year the house is definitely taken over with bunny love.

The hat boxes are gorgeous!! and the way you've decorated them just melts my heart! It sure looks like someone is getting ready for Easter over here.
I received the pillow cover yesterday, Sissie, and I am crushing on it...lol. Thank you for the beautiful JDL card you sent with the order, too! You are just the sweetest girl, ever.
Smooches.

I've just been through a blogging slump and Yes, I've decided to continue.Enjoyed Your darling post-Hugs Denise
Those hatboxes are works of art Sissie! I love how they are more of a grown up Easter style, and really are Garden style too, so they don't have to be put away.
