Sunday Auction Finds

Hi Bloggerettes!  I didn't have much luck at the auction on Sunday
afternoon.  But, I did win this vintage victorian lighted make-up mirror.  I think it's kinda sweet looking.  I'm not crazy about gold, but it seems to work on this piece.

I also had the winning bid on this charcoal print.  There was just something about it that I like.  Kinda down home yet with a little air of mystery.  Reminds me of my Mom and Dad's old
farm house.
I think the frame is going to be painted white and shabbied up
a little.  I cannot see a signature on the print but
it might be covered up by the mat.

Gizzie says Hi!

Be back soon with some more good stuff.
~~hugs~~

Sissie, I think I had that same mirror as a teenager. Wish I had kept it. Love the print and the frame will look great white. We have an weekly auction in Richmond that sells wonderful antique pieces. I try to go as often as possible. Thanks for your sweet note on my yard sale finds. For those dishes I bet I could outrun you!

I rather like the art picture...sometimes when we go bargain hunting we come home with nothing. it's warming up here and I see a few estate and grage sales advertised for this weekend.. maybe I'll find a treasure or two.

Hi Sissie! I had a little make up mirror when I was a teenager, but not near as pretty as yours! What a pretty print and can't wait to see what you'll do with it. Oh, look at your precious little fuzzy face. Gizzy knows she's a little pretty darling!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Oh, I love an auction. I have to sit on my hands and my card alot or HiHoney is behind me giving the auctioneer the 'RolledEyes and NO Headshake'! For the longest I couldn't figure out why he sat behind me and why I got no respect from the caller! You sure got some respect...great stuff!

I love that charcoal print! It almost looks like a photograph, it has a very moody, mysterious feel to it.

Awww, Gizzie really loves the camera, just like my Winnie. :-)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sissie I had to come by and catch up with you. I always enjoy browsing through your different post.
You did good as always with your finds. I love the print and would have wanted that myself.
You changed your headboard and it is very pretty like the other one you had. Is it the same room at a different angle.
Hope your having a great week
Love
Maggie
