Are you finding lots of good stuff? Are you creating something beautiful? Are you transforming something boring into a work of art? Are you making a collage or painting? Are you taking photos of something we will ooh and awh over? Well????
What would you do with this? Ruffles and lace....ooh-la-la!!!
It's this......a gorgeous formal dress that I found at the thrift store for a few dollars.....
Oh how I wish I was the size zero.....I would wear this around the house!!!
I am thinking it will make a nice vanity table skirt???
Here's a wooden shelf that I painted white and shabbied a little.
It's hanging in my laundry room. I love it.
I have a hard time passing up wooden shelves. Here's another one in a corner of my laundry room....
Here's one I painted pink and it's over the sink in the
laundry room.....told you I couldn't pass them up.
Okay, this is enough about my stuff, I am going blog hopping to see what you have done and get inspired!
Oh how I love you all.....you keep me inspired....yes you do!
~~hugs~~

Hi Sissie :) I'm lovin' that lovely dress! I think a vanity skirt would be terrific...so feminine and romantic...ahh yes!! Your shelves are wonderful! I have a few in my home that I have given a make-over to, and just love them..all filled with some pretty rose china and other sweet finds :) It's sooo much fun hunting for treasures, isn't it :) Thanks for sharing these photos with us....be sure to post what you do with that dress!
A vanity skirt sounds wonderful!! It amazes me when someone can look at something like a formal dress they don't need and see a vision of turning it into something else. The creativity in Blogland in never ending. I know you will do something very special with the dress.
Love your shelves too. What a nice way to pretty up a laundry room. That' some inspiration I can use! Thanks Sissie!
xoxo

Wow Sissie, that dress is awesome!! Vanity skirt, pillows, what about curtains or a lovely throw for your sofa?? Love it! Rhonda
You could slipcover a chair with the dress. The bodice could go on the back and the bottom of the dress becomes the chairs skirt. You would need a chair with a pretty wood or cane back. Love the shelves.
This pink one is enchanting! And the dress...!!!!!
I say put it on and dance around the house! So what if it doesn't fit...who's to see? It's gorgeous!

Love all the ruffles and your shelves turned out so nice. Happy evening, Carol Mae
I was thinking the same about the dress, or the edge on a table cloth. I love your shelves, I have some that I made that are more of a mantle shelf, just big enough to make a small vignette on. Have a wonderful day.
That dress is fairy tale spectacular - can't wait to see what you do with it!
Oh my gosh, I love that dress. Love the sound of a vanity skirt~ Ooh-la-la!!!
Love all your painted shelves.

The dress is wonderful, yes, I can see you sashaying around doing your laundry in that little number. You collect shelves, I can't pass up a little table, ohhh... it's a weakness!

What a pretty lacey dress, so many possibilities! I know what you mean about shelving. Thanks for stopping by REB and entering the giveaway.
Blessings,

Those little shelves are great! I think they come in handy for so many areas where you can't put anything too big. The first picture, I was thinking, "I'd wear it", and then you said it was a dress! A vanity skirt sounds lovely or even a tablecloth skirt or how many pillows could you make out of that baby!
Oh my I love your stuff...I love my stuff...I love stuff...stuff...stuff;)!
How is that for materialistic...hehe!
Your shelves are darling...I love them all...I think I need to follow you around when you shop...I have been looking for some shelves and can't find any...not any!

Oh you lucky girl, love that dress you find the best things. Would love to go shopping with you. Sad that I am too far away. Hugs Bunny
Sissie~ you find the most beautiful items...
It's so funny that you posted about a vintage formal. My mom and dad just brought over a bunch of formals they found in the hall closet after cleaning it out! In it was my prom dress form my senior year, and a bridesmaid dress from my first wedding. Plus, A dress I wore in my sisters wedding in 1974, and 2 of my sisters dresses from prom. WOW! They are so tiny! And to think I thought I was fat back then!
sissie that dress is wonderful. I think a dressing table is the perfect choice for that little lovely, great idea, Kathysue
Oh my, that is going to be a beautiful table skirt.. And if anyone can pull off sewing it together, it's you, my friend! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I like the wall shelves- haven't scored any myself, but I wouldn't mind having a few! ;) Better keep my eye out!
Oh YUM that dress is gorgeous! I wish I was a size zero and I don't even own the dress!!!!
it looks gorgeous just hanging around as is!...hang it off your curtain rod in the bedroom or something...or off the shower curtain! I love it!
of course, when you work your creative magic, it will be beautiful no matter what you do!
how great would that dress be for a beach wedding! wowowoowowow!
love all your shelves and what you put on them! great for collecting, right....

Hi Sissie,
Oh I love all the pretty wooden shelves..I have a few I want to repaint and use again. So nice to display your pretties in. I do love the lace tiered dress you bought...you could do so much with it...napkins, table runners, or vanity shirt..all would be so nice.
Thanks for your sweet visit! I wish you luck in my giveaway...drawing is Saturday nite. Take care!

Oooh, the dress is gorgeous! I wouldn't have the heart to cut it up, I think I would keep it as it is and just display it hanging from my wardrobe. Sigh, I never was a size 0, but I do remember being a size 4 ( size 8 UK ), I am afraid those days are gone though.
Sissie, oh it is wonderfull,
I think that I would keep it as is, for a while, and then I see lots of lots of angels.
And your shelves are so sweet, and gives endless possibillyties for showing off, lovely things, like you do here.
Thanks for showing,dear, friend.
Love and hugs, Dorthe
Sissie, that dress is gorgeous!!! It would make a great table skirt, but I would problaly have a hard time cutting something so beautiful, I've bought vintage clothing and vintage throws before just to cut up and make purses and pillows with, but I always find I have a hard time when it comes time to cut them, so I have many of them just stored in my work room. I know I'm a little goofy, after all that's what I bought them for, maybe one day I'll brake down and cut them and make something beautiful with them!!! Blessings~~~ Daphne
Hi Sissie,
I love that gorgeous dress!!! Your photos are so beautiful! I can see that made into a vanity skirt. Do share when you finish it. I love all of your shelves. I have a weakness for them too, and my sweet hubby makes a lot of them for me! Thank you for the inspiration! Love, Paula
That dress is GORGEOUS!!!! Love your blog so much. Glad I found it tonight so I can follow your future posts! Have a great weekend!
