Thrifty Mirrors Get Makeovers!

Hi Bloggerettes!  I was in a "mood" today.  I started cleaning house like a mad woman and then settled down in my creative space.
I finished up some pillows and created a few new ones.  I'm tellin yall, I was on a roll!

My Sister bought a new mirror for her livingroom and gave me her old one.  It's beautiful but.......

Here is the black and gold mirror my sister gave me. In its original state it is very pretty, but I wanted it to be white and shabby. < Please do not look at the ugly garage reflections.>

So, here it is, white and shabby!  Now you're talkin!
I found the white one you see in the first photo at a local thrift store.
It was an icky gold.  I quickly gave it the heirloom white
treatment and now we are both very happy.

Here's a Sissie Pillow that I finished up today.
Burlap, ruffles and rosettes....it don't get no better than that!

This little "Darling" cup
belonged to my Mom when she was just a little girl.
It's so sweet.
I think my mirror rates as thrifty since it's a family hand-me-down
and a wonderful hand-me-down at that!
My sister and I switch things around all the time so we don't have to buy two of everything!!
The white mirror was a thrifty find, so it qualifies.

Be sure and stop over at Coastal Charm
and check out all the nifty thrifty finds!

~~hugs~~

I am so loving your mirrors. Did you give it that worn look with sanding or Rub N Buff? I have a similar mirror that I am getting ready to paint and I am wondering how to distress it.

The pillow is darling as is the pretty mug. Good stuff today, Sissie!

I really have to smile- when I looked closer at the 'garage' picture because I have a large gold framed mirror out there in MY garage, waiting to become white, but it is propped up against and old white multi-paned window, a lot like the one I see by your 'gold and black' mirror.
They've been there a few months now but you are inspiring me to get my act together!

Dear sweet Sissie Girl,
Love the newest Sissie pillow, beautiful!!! Love the mirrors too, but I saw something in the reflection that caused me to freak a little & zoom in. What is that dresser painted up cool with the striped mirror on it??? Have I not seen that before? Please show me more! Lisa, your pillow pal.
