Livingroom Switcharoo that didn't work!

Hi Bloggerettes!  Remember my post about adding some color to my livingroom?  I moved two floral chairs from the bedroom in and took out the white wingbacks.  I ended up with this look....
I tried it for two days, a long time in my book.  Ya know?
So, now it's back to this....

I can't live without my whites and silvers....
I love my mercury glass collection!

I love my curvy sofa.  I've had it for at least 12 years and I never tire of it....um, that's odd.

Cannot live without toile I tell ya!

Can't live without shells either....

Mr. Sissie just rolls his eyes when I get in these moods.
I wait until he's not around and get the furniture sliders and go to town!

I'm happy now, or at least until I look at one of your blogs
and want to change everything around again.
Ah, the inspiration here in blogland is wonderful but can be hazardous to your health!!!!

~~hugs~~

I have done the same thing. I will change an entire room around just to change it back just the way it was:) Both ways look beautiful in your home. You have a knack for decorating:)

Sissie,
I do the same thing. I think I can't stand it this way another minute. Change everything around, not like that either. Change it back to the way I started and love it. Maybe we just like the exercise?

Sissie I am smiling right now. I love the look of your room but I don't think I could live in that. Just not me, oh it's beautiful but would not look like that for me. So I love that you try but go back to who you are! I love that we are all so different but somehow the same.
Hugs,
Linda

I left a comment and then right when I hit the x button to leave I saw the word pop up that I have to put in. As I was saying I understand you having to have it feel right for you. I love that sofa and the large toile pillows are gorgeous. Did you make them?

All white always looks so pretty in pictures but I don't think my hubby and I could live with it daily. We love color! Your room does look lovely though...and love the curvy sofa.

You're not kidding the inspiration is abundant in Blogland! When I saw the picture with the floral chairs I thought, "Oooo that looks good". Then I saw the other chairs and thought, "Oooo that looks good". Then I saw the curvy sofa and thought, "OOOOO I want me one of those"!

Both looks are great but I understand totally. I too wait until my husband is not home to do my major furniture moving. Thank goodness for those furniture sliders and my 8 year old son with the muscules.

You stick with what works for you, Sissie! I think it looks great and I love your toile pillows! I got a sneak peek at Ballard Designs holiday merchandise today and they have some mercury glass items they will be selling.

I loved those floral chairs in the livingroom but I can understand your need to change things around. I used to get excited when my teachers would move our desks around in elementary school! How weird is that? lol I guess that was my first indication of my need to decorate.~Hugs, Patti

LOve the toile pillows Sissie!

I laughed at what you said about waiting for your hubby to leave before changing things...I'm the same way!! I waited for him to leave today and switched a lamp from another room. He'll notice next week!!!

The last time I couldn't stand something another minute, I about broke my back moving an oak desk.:) I think you're right, I love your neutrals. That sofa is to die for. I can see why you still love it so much.

Sissie girl,
First of all, that sofa looks so squishy & comfy. secondly, BF (before kids) I used to love moving furniture around from room to room. Everyone used to joke about how our house always looked different. Not so much anymore. I agree tho, those silvers, creams & whites are gorgeous & very rich. Third, your last post...I,m thinking grayish white. Oh, & one more thing, I love you tons. your comments always make feel like a million bucks. Lisa

Your house is gorgeous...so elegant, romantic, comfortable and classy! Anyway you decide to move things it looks great. I love the all white. Your collection of mercury glass is beautiful. i have only a few pieces. I am in love with your toile pillows. I think I've commented on them a few times now. They are stunning with the small ruffle. I'm a sucker for toile. I do the same thing when my husband leaves on a business trip. I move all the furniture all over the place. I think he wonders about me at times.

Oh Sissie, I think anything you do is lovely.

I tend to find after I take a photo of something is when I really find out if I like it or not. A photograph really does speak a lot of words. (sometimes it says "change me quickly")

Lol, you are funny. I really did like the two floral chairs in your living room. Still, I like the white ones just as much. Whatever you do, your home is just exquisite.

I like it both ways, Sissie. I think it's great that with subtle changes, you can totally change the vibe in the room.

Menfolk will never understand a woman's need to tweak and change her surroundings. We smart women know it's much easier to accomplish when they've left the house....

Ah I love it with your white chairs too! I can see me changing them with the seasons with a slipcover for a pop of color once in awhile. Oh who am I kidding? lol:)

Hi again Sissie:) I am already a follower of your and just love your blog. As to your question about Sophia, my cat, I really don't know what kind of cat she is because we adopted her. She was feral and living on the streets and someone was kind enough to bring her and her siblings to be adopted. She is the sweetest and love my dogs and chickens:) lol
