Vintage Luggage!

Hi Bloggerettes!  It's been a busy and very hot week here but never-the-less the hunt must go on for stuff to fill up the booths.  Right now all the beach goers are here and they are buying up everything in site!!!  It's a good thing but it's also very challenging to keep the booths filled with things they love to buy.

I bought a very cute luggage rack from another dealer and a few minutes later I found these at Habitat!!

Definitely a throw back to the 60's.  Lovin the green!

The metal label reads "Sears"

Going to the booth.

~~hugs~~

Oh cool!
I have also found the most amazing pieces of luggage discarded like that... and i'm always baffled that someone could let go of the energy and history they hold. Vintage luggage is so functional and so filled with memories. Great find Sissy... I'm sure they won't last long at the booth with that funky fun green color and in such perfect condition...

Oh my goodness, I love the green luggage!!! It reminds me a the green go-go bag I used as a carry-on when I was a kid flying on Pan Am and Braniff. (I wish they still had airlines like that!) And I wish your was booth was near me!! I would so buy that makeup bag!

Those are great cases, Sissie! I love the little travel case. Not that I travel a lot, but I like the older style luggage pieces better.

They look like they are in perfect condition Sissie. I am really into that color green lately and am adding it to my man cave! I found a green and white chenille spread just that color that I am using for pillows. You get the best stuff!

Yes, Green one of my favorite colors and this set is from my time. Yep...straight out of the 60's. I recently re-doed an Overnight Train Case...that's what we called them back then even though I never got to carry it on a train. Anyway, the inside was a mess, so I recovered it and cleaned the outside which was in great shape...brass tags and latches...so cool. I'll have to post about it soon. Great that you are having such good shopping out of your booth. Keep it up, SissieGal!!!!

Sissie,
Thanks so much for your visit and the info on the mocha glaze!

I have two suitcases that are identical to these. Only mine are an ugly avocado green and not the pretty green that you have!!
I think I will need to paint them....

Hugs,
Debbie
