Hi Bloggerettes! Everyone around the household here lately seems a little sluggish. After Christmas blahs I think or it could be because it's colder here than usual.
Gabby's acting kinda strange....
I redid the cover on this bench using drop cloth and another image from Graphics Fairy. I used the same method with the iron on image.
It's 100% kitty approved....
Gabby's acting kinda strange....
Here kittie kittie, let me make you pretty...
She didn't like the idea of being adorned with a bow....
Gizzy didn't either....darn cats!
I decided a project would be a good idea. So I took two vintage tea towels and added some Graphic's Fairy Images.
This is an easy project.
Buy some iron on transfer paper by Avery. Found mine at Walmart. Buy the package that says for light fabric. Print your image and then iron it on. This is where it gets tricky. You have to iron and iron using quite a bit of pressure. When you think you've done it enough, do it some more. I didn't apply enough pressure on the bottom of the egg beater image and you can see it's a little muddled.I redid the cover on this bench using drop cloth and another image from Graphics Fairy. I used the same method with the iron on image.
It's 100% kitty approved....
I hope I can get them to give it up.
Okay, I'm off to blog hop. I know you all have some wonderful projects and good stuff to be seen and I can't wait to find out.
~~hugs~~

I love your kitties, my daughter thinks I need to get kittens instead of puppies, she said then you can leave them with out boarding them
do you leave your kitties when gone 4 days?

Great project to start with, Sissie! Love the bench! I have a project someone did for tea towels using Osnaberg fabric and I've printed it out to do for me. I just need to check if I have the right transfer paper or if I should try a new method I bought the tool for.
Those towels are so cute, Sissie! I especially like the Ball Jar one.
Your bench turned out very nice, too. I think your kitties gave it a "paw's up".
xxxooo
I want to run right out and get some transfer paper! Very nice.
That is really neat! I'd have to have someone literally SHOW me how to do that. Love the bird & cat's approving.
Have a beautiful day ~

They have great taste!!! love all your projects! xoxo
Hi Sissie, love your latest projects, especially the towels. Doing transfers is one of my favorite things to do. I don't quite understand what makes a transfer so appealing but the black and white ones like you did just seem to call my name.
Oh, your two kitties are adorable. I don't have cats now but had four at one time several years ago. --------Shannon
I love using iron on for fabrics. I made a pillow for every season out of scanned postcards. Love the bench. Your kitty cats are cute.
Your towels are wonderful...I love the one with the mixer!! Happy blog hopping!!
LOVE those tea towels Sissie! I really need to try that!
I have got to try doing those transfers. Of course, you have nice towels to start with.
Wow, those iron-ons are something even I could do! lol They really turned out well and I really like the little bench.
Hugs,
Nancy
Hi Sissie,
Same here, I really need to try this!
Thank you for the great tips!
All the Best,
Christine
You have some lucky little kitties!! Iam loving those towels and the bench is perfect! Rhonda
Sissie I really love those cute tea towels. I might have to put this on my maybe to do list! hugs, Linda
Your towels are too cute! I agree with the Avery paper. Sometimes I press down so hard, I swear my arm is going to fall off. Even then, sometimes I didn't do enough. Frustrating but so worth it in the end.

I felt a little melancholy too! But, I have been just plugging along. I love those towels, I have yet to try the mason jar graphic. Those kitties are so cute!
Carol
Your kitties look relieved that you busied yourself with some projects, instead of tying more bows on them:)! Thanks so much for the tips using the transfer paper! One of these days I need to get brave and give it a try. Your towels and bench cover turned out great!
Kitties look so cute Sissie!!!
I love your projects with the iron-ons. That bench is purr-fect!
I have been sitting here catching up with you and I have loved every minute of your last several posts. Your Jan 1 post was wonderful Sissie! And I LOVED your darling before and after photos. You are such a beautiful girl!!! Inside and out.
hugs from here...
That little birdie on the side of the bench is Crazy wonderful. What a great touch... I love the way it is totally simple and off to the side,... Perfect. And, of course the kitties just had to get all over the bench after you gave it attention. They are so funny...
Cindy
Love those towels you made--do you use them or are they just for looks? I need to try the light fabrics iron ons. I have only used the ones that have like a white fabric background (also by Avery). Love the pictures of your cats--you need a lazy old persian like mine--after years of the kids dressing him up he puts up with anything!
Love your projects, Sissie! And your babies look so pretty with their bows! My staff sends them their wishes for a Happy Mew Year!...hugs...Debbie
I love the iron-on tea towels! I must try this project…
At least you didn't try to put clothes on them! Those iron ons can be tricky. I've had similar problems. They turnes out cute and the little bird stool is fun!
Such cute towels Sissie, those kitties are adorable:)
There's nothing like a project to get out the blahs. Cute kitties! They seem to enjoy your crafts except for the neck bow! LOL. Thanks for stopping by my Valentine craft post, Sissie! Have a craft-filled weekend! Cindy
Your kitties are beautiful and so funny, too! As soon as I clean (declutter) a new spot, our Muffin thinks I did it just for HIM and he claims it as his own. Every new piece that comes into the house, he thinks is HIS!! And I seldom disturb him!! :0) Love all your new goodies using the GF graphics. Happy 2012!
Oh my, love the teatowel and I have to say, your little kitties are just adorable!
Un trabajo espectacular, te ha quedado precioso.

These are beautiful! And the easy tutorial almost has me preparing to do some of my own. ALMOST. Let's face it, I'd rather buy it than make it --whatever it is. :)
Happy New Year, Sissie!! xo

Hi Sissie,
I see you survived the holidays. I love the tea towels & the birdie on the seat. I've tried iron on transfers and they always look real glossy. I never tried using a light weight kind.
Lisa
