Hi Bloggerettes! I am a blog slugg....I haven't had much to talk about or show you lately and I'm feeling like a big slugg. Please forgive me.
Here's a sweet photo taken by Dianne at Miss Minnie's. It's a wonderful shabby mirror reflecting the pretty things in my booth. I love it.

Also, it saddens me that Peggie and I closed our booth at Fancy Flea. We did a great deal of soul searching and decided it was best.
We both will still have our booths at Miss Minnie's, which is by the way, a wonderful place to be.
Without going into details and whinning about it I'll just say that
sometimes we venture out and find in the long run that it's just not meant to be. So, we are now concentrating on one location.
Sure makes life easier.
If you'd like more information on the do's and don'ts of opening an antique booth go check out Collected Treasures for the Heart and Soul. Jana wrote a series of articles about this and it's great advice.
Look at this adorable photo that my sister Kim sent me of her and her sweet granddaughter....
I'm still working on my giveaway. I haven't forgotten.
I'm planning on going to auction tonight and hope to share some good stuff with you soon.
In the meantime, please forgive me for being a "slugg." This booth thing has really zapped me and I'm trying to recover. I know you understand.
~~hugs~

Sissie, I love your mirrors. Sometimes we have to decide what's best for us and move on. Do not let it get you down, just concentrate on your other booth and make it GRAND!!

love this romantic picture very much! best wishes and a creative weekend! di

Everything we do in life is a learning experience and this was just one of those things. Onward and upward, right? Also if you are a blogging slug then I am Jabba the Hut! Besides being worn out from family and holiday festivities, I cracked a tooth over New Years chomping away on a tortilla chip and now I am paying for it ...literally in pain and money! I
have nothing to talk about since I have been wrapped up in that problem. I hope your day is good Sissie!~Hugs, Patti
wishing you the best! it is sooooo hard to keep up with multiple places! i had to make that very same decision last year, and though it was a bit heartwrenching, i had to make the decision.
happy new year Sissie!!
Good grief, Sissie! I'm always saying how you amaze me with all the things you do!
Take a well deserved break, girl! We'll all be here after you rest up....chomping
at the bit to see what you come up with next.
xxxooo
I've been a slug too Sissie. Maybe it's because it's January and I've been trying to throw things out and redo. Take a much needed break and we will be here when you get back!
I will read that post, Sissie! You're not a slug; it's totally understandable and I'm sure you've been busy moving things, too.
Hi Sissie, I too, have been a slug!!! Maybe because it is cold, and sometimes life gets busy with other things. A little haitus does no-one any harm. Blessings...
Hi deAR Sissie, yes I have been thinking where you had dissapered, but I fully understand ,that there are times where, we need to be quiet and recover.
I wish you a happy week-end. See you soon again, sweet.
Oh love the photo ,they looks so cute.
Hugs,Dorthe
Sissie, I think we all go through sluggish times. I feel like i'm starting to get my blogging mojo back. Hoping you are feeling much better and so sorry about having to close the one booth. It's hard when you do love this so much. I am sending you a big hug! Linda
When you can blog, blog...when you can't, don't! Life happens!! We all have those times....I hope you have a refreshing weekend!!
Dear Sissie, We are all here and after busy times it can happen to all of us that we are sluggish. Just human.
Rest and get new energy.
Hugs from Riet
Hi Sissie.....thanks for the mention.:) I don't know if my hard learned experience can help anyone, but hopefully it will give them an idea as to what they are in for. People like us make it look like so much "fun", that when they get into it they realize very quickly how much hard work it is. I am a firm believer that is something isn't working you need to cut your losses as quickly as possible and bail! It's hard to do sometimes as we have a tendancy to think we have failed and are quitting......I prefer to think of it as just not doing it anymore because it didn't make sense. It's not quitting....it's simply "stopping". Remember that every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end....Recharge your soul and your energy, creativity, and enthusiasm will return three fold....

Be kind to your sweet self! You maintain a lovely home, a retail space, a blog and countless other responsibilities! That's pretty admirable from anyone's perspective. Here's to simplifying - without remorse! :)

Well you aren't a slugg in my book~you are a slugger! Fighting it out and going for the gold! Good for you that you can close a door and start anew...don't let it get you down. You just need time to energize your batteries Sissie!
Love that photo of your booth in the mirror! Don't worry about being a slug--I look forward to your beautiful posts but it is okay if you don't post something amazing everyday. Your blog rocks!
Hi Sissie,
the reflection of your space in the mirror is oh so dreamy! Sure would love to shop there! And I have been experiencing "blogger burnout", too, so I can totally relate! I just closed my booth at the antique mall as well. It really wasn't a good (or profitable!) place to try and sell, I have much better luck in my Etsy shop! And more fun, too! Have fun at the auction!
I never miss a Sissy post and I missed this one. Sissy I could never do two booths! Between blogging and one booth and life, that is enough, it is best to not spread yourself to thin! I think we are all to hard on ourselves, we feel like we are not posting enough and truth be known, nobody probably notices. when a favorite blogger has not posted it usually takes me a couple weeks to go ....Hey wait a minute, where is so and so!
Carol
Having two spaces can just wear you out!! I've tried it and it was really taxing. So take a well deserved break to work on that wonderful new playroom of yours!!! xoxo
That reflection picture is amazing! You do much better at posting than I do. I can see how the 2nd booth can become a lot of work. Just one keeps me busy! Although I detect a certain hint of something other than the work load? Perhaps it's easier to not have a partner to have to work and meld things together with? There are a couple gals that share a space at our store and one told me she felt like her partner always shoved her things to the back in order to display her things more prominently. But perhaps I am just reading more into it than you were saying!
Oh WOW...Kim does not look like she could be a grandmother! What a darling pic!
Happy Saturday!
Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
Sissie, never look back. I think you are a very successful woman. Also, you will have more time for yourself. On another note, your sister looks like she could be her granddaughter's mother. Pretty picture of the two of them.
No apology needed. We all are sluggs at one time or another. I so admire you for getting out there and trying. Everything happens for a reason and I agree it was just not meant to be. Try to have a good week dear!
Congratulations for your blog! Is very nice! Kisses ..
