Reflections....good or bad...

Reflections....a new year a new beginning but yet reflections of the past whether good or bad are still so near.  You know those little thoughts and memories that keep creeping back into your mind....the ones that you would just soon forget.  You shake it off and replace it with a good memory....there there now, don't you feel better.

Reflections....

Like these lovely Venetian Mirrors that I've collected over the years.
They made the move last year but for some reason I never hung them up.  Just leaned them against the wall.  Insignificant? Maybe.
Those of you that have been following me for awhile know that we moved back to our home state and then back here, all within five months.  We sold two homes, lived in a rental and waited on our new home to be built.  Whew.....we were like gypsies.  Those choices didn't work out and reflecting back I now realize that lessons were learned.

Now, I'm happy to say that the mirrors you see here in our new dining room are securely attached to the wall...a symbol that we are home to roost.  Significant. Yes.

 Reflections....

The way the light filters through and reflects on things so lovely reminds me that when you allow your light to shine and reflect all that's good then you look lovely too.
Reflections on the wall makes me smile.  Lovely brown transfer ware bouncing the light off of the wall and casting sparkling light.
Significant?  Yes in so many ways.

Reflections, whether good or bad are part of who we are.  We look through the window or into the mirror and realize that there is so much more to experience in life and so much more to reflect upon.
And the good part is that we have a lifetime to do it.  Thankful. Yes.

So how about you.  Are you reflecting....what do reflections say to you?

                                        ~~hugs~~
                                         Sissie

I love your mirrors. You have such lovely accessories and furnishings. I can see you are in a reflective mood! I have been meaning to take time to reflect. It's a good thing to do. It puts things in perspective that needed to be reassessed. It's just too bad that the days go so fast and I never seem to have enough time to do all that I would like to do. I'm always trying to get caught up. Enjoy your new nest. It's beautiful and uplifting with all those lovely reflections!

Sissy, I'm so happy your mirrors are on your walls. Secure and in your beautiful home. Your post does make me think about quite a number of things. Thanks for stirring things up for me! Great post, sweet lady.

Your mirrors are so beautiful, Sissie! Funny how you never hung them in your previous new home ~ it's almost like you knew deep down this move wouldn't be permanent. I often feel that the condo we are in now is not our last move.

That's my problem, I reflect too much. I am trying to look to today, not behind as much and just have hope for the future. It is hard, but I try to remember that when I start stressing. Everything we do in life is a lesson. We have had plenty of them the last couple of years. YOur home looks so pretty as usual...I have been behind in my blog reading. Hope you are doing well and settling into your new home.
Hugs, Patti

I have a 3 pic frame on my wall of my granddaughter when she was 3 and dressed as a faerie and when the light comes in through the beveled glass of my front door it makes a perfect rainbow wreath around the pictures. It's beautiful.
