Hello Blogger Buds!
Sissie's Shabby Cottage is located here on the coastal shores of North Carolina and the influence of the beach and all things coastal is pretty much the norm.
I've been collecting pretty shells for a few years and only displayed them in bowls, on shelves, etc.
Finally I found the perfect way to show them off.
This pretty terrarium from Home Goods fits perfectly on a thrifty side table.
I also needed to do something with this entryway wall that looked so bare and vacant before adding the table.
I made a few changes in the dining room too. I created panels with this wonderful coastal fabric with a sea life and shell motif.
Then added a few bird pillows to the bench...
Anyway, looks like I've got the coastal vibe going on around here.
Hope you like it.
Okay, that's it. Get out there this week and make, create, bake, photograph, write, sew, craft and do whatever your heart's desire. And, if you find something wonderful be sure to share it with us.
~~hugs~~

Oops, just noticed that I left the clothes pins on the panels. I used them to help set the pleats so the panels will hang correctly.

You have inspired me to drag the sewing machine out and create new Spring-like drapery panels for our dining room! Yea!
Love your coastal vibe Sissie! I'm doing a beach theme for our porch again this year. Love those bird pillows!

Love what you did with that terrarium--I always see cute ones and wonder what I could do with them. Thanks for the idea! I love beachy things and have always been drawn to the beach. Guess that being named Sandy is appropriate :)
Oooh I love it! I love shells they are just beautiful.
Blessings,
Amy Jo
Loving your coastal vibe! The terrarium is gorgeous, the star fish is so cool! That wire cage is super.
Super job, you always inspire me!

Hi Sissie,
Oh my, I am in love with your look! The little table in your entryway is adorable. Isn't Home Goods just the best store to shop in! I am going on Sat. The closest store is 30 min. away from me.
You cracked me up with your cloths pins on your curtains. I would do the same thing...LOL
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Sissie,

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi Sissie! This is Rita C from Panoply. Thank you for your comment over at Linda's - it's nice to make your acquaintance! I remember seeing your sister's booth in Nitro (very pretty styling, are you still a partner with her there?), but don't remember you from So Chas - where/when on 3rd floor were you? So fun to meet up with you as a blogger! I'll be your latest follower, and look forward to your ventures. :)

What's not to love about the coastal vibe. What a pretty shell collection you have too... The little terrarium is a perfect way to display them. I love all the whites together. And the curtain panels, are awesome! I looove that fabric!
