Did you all know that you can put plantation shutters on glass sliding doors???? Well, yes. you. can!!!!
I never liked the glass sliding doors in our new home and I wanted a little more of a southern coastal vibe. The glass sliding doors are located in the breakfast area of the kitchen. Whenever I would look at them they seemed like a great big blank spot with no character or charm.
These custom made plantation shutters are just the thing for adding warmth and coastal elegance. I'm so pleased with how they look.
I'm really trying to pull the new house together and whenever I do I plan to share it with everyone. However, you all know that decorating a home can be a never ending process so, for now I'll keep on showing you bits and pieces.
Okay that's it for now. Get out there this week and create, make, photograph, write, sew, cook, bake, repurpose, paint, remodel and find something wonderful and share it with all of us.

It looks great! Usually, glass sliding doors and indoor shutters don't get along, but you've made a case that they can. All it takes is a little imagination and figuring out how to apply it. This certainly gave your kitchen the vibe you wanted!

I found out about sliding door shutters and we have them now, too. I couldn't be happier. They make a shabby door look great. Because of the way ours our set in we have by-pass shutters. They also work well and are easy to let the pets in and out. Yours look wonderful, too.

Tinting your windows are good but you see, you can't just peel it off when you want a clear view of the outside with just looking at your clear transparent window. That's the reason why many still prefers custom home shutters.
