This is definitely not your Grandpa's lunch pail...
I wish I had my Granddad's lunch pail. I remember running to meet him and offering to carry it just for a chance to look inside. There was always a Little Debbie cake or some kind of goodie that he saved just for me.
Of course that was long before the days of shabby chic and repurposing vintage pieces into something different.
With just a little inspiration from other bloggers, some chalk paint, lace and a touch of bling I created this very shabby chic, ultra girly lunch pail...
Then just a scrap of fabric, some ribbon and some glue, the inside got a little dressing up as well.
I can just see my Granddad laughing but at the same time giving his approval.

That is so cute. You did a great job of dressing it up. I bet that will sell super quick if it is in your shop.
When I was little my Uncle lived with us for a while after he got out of the Army and he had a lunch box like that. It was a dark green color and the top had a bail that held his thermos in place. I loved to go through it because he usually didn't eat the sweets that mother had packed for him. (I did)...xo Diana
Look at all that bling! Love it, Sissie.

This is precious, you creative little devil! It would look so pretty sitting on my dresser or vanity! ;-)
My dad had a lunchbox...boy, those things were quite durable, as if they needed to be super strong in the event of a catastrophe on the way to work! lol!
Are you ready for Christmas...please share!
