More Great Thrift Finds........because I can't live without them!!!

Time once again to show you bloggin babes some of my thrifty finds.  First up is this pretty I found  at the thrift for $5.00.....
It's marked Lefton China and it's definitely vintage.

How about this sweet little lantern for $3.00
I just added a votive.

Now, this pretty little cabinet, I love it!
Found it at HomeGoods but I can't devulge what I paid for
it because Mr.Sissie just might read this blog.......He does
not understand "I just had to have it and it was on sale!"

Now for the piece de resistance!!!
This very shabby, rusty, chippy, oh so delightful.....
wire basket!!!! Ain't she purddy??
Got her at Miss Minnie's from one of
the dealers.  She was only $8.00!!!

A galvanized container for $2. at the Habitat.....
love that place.

Of course I had to add the fleur-de-lis.
So many of you have asked me about this embellishment
so, below is a picture of the packaging.
I found mine at Walmart for $3.19 a pkg.
You cut the size you want and just use the stick enclosed
in the package to rub-on the design.
It's that simple!!

So, until next time......keep looking for treasures
and meanwhile I'll be back with more later.

~~hugs~~

Sissie~~~

I just adore everything!! But of course I sort of go for the old and chippy so I am coveting the lantern, wire basket and pail!! I will have to be on the lookout for the transfers...those are neat!

Hi Sissie, I'm sure I have commented on your last funny post about the girdle, but it's not there anymore. Anyways you certainly told it like it is!

Delightful finds coming from a delightful person. I very much fund of the lantern. Hey girl I can relate about your husband not knowing in fact my husband doesn't pay to much attention to things- maybe because I blend it in to well with my other decorations, but when he does find out later down the road he will mention something about it.... always wondering why I would get something like that or how much did that cost. I always tell him I've had that for some time now and always try not to mention price. He doesn't get it either!

Take Care-

I haven't tried our Habitat Store yet but hope to get there this weekend. Love the big galvanized tub and especially the embellishment you added. Thanks so much for telling us that Walmart carries them. I just love how you have added them to some of your finds with them.

Wow! You did a lot better than I did this week thrifting! I went to Goodwill and Vintage Values, and only scored a pair of turquoise flats and a simple green sweater! I was looking for something "new" and different for my home...if I ever get my Christmas stuff down, that is! LOL! Love the first Lefton piece you showed! What a wonderful and pretty treasure! The wire basket is really cute, too! Hope you will post how you plan to use it!

I got so tickled at your post below about the girdle. I still call them girdles, and noone my age seems to know what they are! LOL! Of course, they all wear spanx, instead. I never seem to need them on any occasion except during the summer! ....HOT!!! My husband calls it my zoot suit! By the time I get mine on, I'm too give out to go whereever I was going! LOLOL! I could really identify with your post! :)

Think we'll get any snow in the morning? Sure is cold enough for it! :) ~Rhonda

Hi Sissie -
Wow you scored girl! I love the Lefton china piece, it says you all over it :) And that cabinet is adorable. I miss the great Goodwill stores I used to frequent in California (daily) There is a couple of "ok" thrift shops around these parts but you have to drive 40 minutes to get to them.

That Lefton piece is GORGEOUS! I can't believe you were able to find it all intact and for that price. What a steal!

I keep meaning to visit our Habitat store but it's quite a drive so I haven't made it yet. I love how you embellished the metal tub with the rub-on--very chic!
